Breve, muy breve. Nunca había tenido el menor interés por Japón, salvo por algunos haikus de Issa, pero este libro ha sido una revelación. Mezcla de diario de viajes y poesía pone tanto del lado del escritor como del lector, haciendo trabajar la mente en la medida que se desee, no tiene acertijos, ni florituras descriptivas y los episodios rara vez superan la cuartilla, pero el mundo que reflejan es increíblemente rico.

Brief, so brief. I never felt the any interest in Japan, except some Issa's haikus, but this book has been a huge discovery. Mixing poetry and travel diaries, this book was made to exercise equally both sides, the witter and the reader. Basho puts to work the reader's mind in the measure that he may want, no riddles, no descriptive frills and very short episodes, rarely larger than a sheet, but the world's richness reflected is simply incredible.

Please note: I haven't readed the english version of this book, so I can't say if this edition it's the best or not. It's just one.
