Oh, how I love this. Yes, yes...A writer's desk indeed! In this paper-free age you don't see this much anymore. Hurray for the disarray, the orderly disorder. What a treat. And of course the focused light coming in from the right is just "right". The typewriter is old, but not old enough to be a relic. This typewriter looks like it gets used. Also lovely is the manuscript on the shelf. It looks like it is about to fall off...but surely it is right where it's meant to be.
